Wireless microphones A teacher or support worker wears a small microphone; their voice is transmitted directly to the child's hearing aid or cochlear implant processor, cutting through background noise and distance. This is proven technology that makes a measurable difference to outcomes.

Sound-field systems A speaker system that distributes the teacher's voice evenly across the classroom benefits every child, not just those with hearing loss. These are increasingly used in mainstream classrooms.

Induction loops for education spaces Hearing loop (telecoil) systems in classrooms and communal areas mean children and young people with loop-compatible aids always have a clear signal.

For adults in further education, training or university:

The same technology applies, Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) may fund it. We can support applications and provide the documentation you need.

"The school says they already have a radio aid system, why isn't it working properly?" Compatibility, configuration, battery management and wear are all common issues. We can assess what you have, identify the problem, and either fix it or recommend a better solution.
