Your hearing aids are limited in what distance the microphones can pick up sound, using the Resound Multi Mic extends that distance by up to about 25 metres.
This transmitting microphone streams speech and sound, that you want to hear, directly to your ReSound hearing aids. The Multi Mic is discrete, weighs in at a very lightweight 22 grams and has an increase / decrease volume control on the side.
Setting it up to work with your hearing aids is easily done by pressing the pairing button then opening and closing your hearing aids within 20 seconds. Once they are paired that is it and they will not need paired again. Apart from the microphone mode the other options you have are a socket to connect to audio, telecoil to listen to an induction loop system and a Direct Audio Input
to enable the use of other manufactures Radio Aids.
If it is worn vertically, clipped on or used with a lanyard it automatically switches the microphone to a directional mode which helps reduce background noise. If it is horizontal, placed on a table or desk it will automatically switch to an omnidirectional mode to pick up speech of the people around it.
It is only compatible with Resound wireless hearing instruments:
ReSound UP967, UP977, UP988
ReSound Ambio 77, Ambio 88
