Redcat Access Classroom Soundfield

Good clarity of speech and sound for pupils and less stress on the teacher's voice - it’s a win-win using Redcat Access. This classroom audio system has an integrated receiver, amplifier, and flat sound panel speaker. The system is supplied with one wireless pendant style Flexmike^® microphone for the teacher. The Redcat can be set up, used easily and requires no installation. It has a manufacturer's 5 year return to base warranty. Weighing 1.3kg it is easily positioned in the room, to Lightspeed’s recommendations, and is mains powered. To make it even more portable, a rechargeable battery can be purchased making it more flexible to move between rooms and could even be used outdoors on dry days. 

To play the sound from other equipment through the Redcat Access it has a 3.5mm audio input with volume control.

There is also a 3.5mm audio output with a level control. I have tested this output with Radio Aids by connecting, in turn, the Phonak Roger On iN, Roger On, Roger Select, Roger Select iN, Roger Clip-On Mic ,Roger Table Mic II, Oticon EduMic, ReSound Multi Mic and Cochlear Mic2+. This allows the teacher to wear one microphone and provide communication, not only through the Redcat speaker, but also to a child with hearing aids, cochlear implant or BAHA who uses a Radio Aid. This also means that the child with hearing loss will hear any other audio being played that is connected to the Redcat Access.

This system is modular and can be added to when teaching circumstances change. A handheld wireless microphone can be purchased.
