Access to Work

Access to Work is funded by the UK Government and accessed through Jobcentre Plus. It provides funding, for solutions and / or specialist equipment to help people with disabilities get work or stay in employment.

iHear has provided workplace solutions, supplied assistive hearing equipment and trained individuals who have received Access to Work grants. Some of the products have included Radio Aids, Amplified Phones, Mobile Phones and Alerting equipment.

Eligibility for Access to Work Grants

To be eligible for a grant you must be one of the following:

• In paid employment
• About to start employment or return to work
• Self-employed
• Resident in Scotland, England or Wales
• Over 16

You must also have a disability, ongoing health or mental health condition that is impacting on your ability to carry out your work.
