The CL100, from Geemarc, is a very popular Amplified Telephone. Inbuilt in the handset is an inductive coupler allowing people with hearing aids to use the phone with their hearing aid in the T position. Further hearing assistance is provided, for hearing aid wearers and hard of hearing people with a caller volume control up to 30dB and a loud visual ring indicator. There is also speech volume gain for people who are soft spoken. The CL100 is easy to use with the volume and tone controls on the top side of the telephone. The amplified telephones large buttons with large fonts making it beneficial for people with poor vision, elderly people and people with poor manual dexterity including arthritis and RSI. The CL100 is also used by small businesses, for example hairdressers and garages, where they have noisey background environments with hair dyers and machinery.
